Hello!

This week in preschool we were excited to watch our butterflies emerge from their chrysalis. On Wednesday we released them outside and watched them fly away. Very exciting! Next week in preschool we will continue our study of insects by focusing on how they can be beneficial to gardens and our environment. We’ll have a beekeeper from the Loveland Youth Gardens tell us more about bees, and we’ll see how insects help to decompose dead plants and food.

We have some exciting events to look ahead to next week. Please see below for information about the last several days of school. Thank you for all you have done to support your child in having a wonderful, preschool year! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Mon 5/18: Regular day, with a birthday (Lucas) story time with family

Tues 5/19: Visit from a Beekeeper

• Bamford Kindergarten Open House from 5-6pm

Wed 5/20: Water Day! Birthday (Azariah) story time in the afternoon with family

• Please send your child to school dressed in their swimsuit with clothes over. Please send a towel and extra clothes to change into. I know the weather might change, so please stay tuned for adjustments.

Thurs 5/21: End of Year Celebration!

• Please join us in our classroom at 10:45am to celebrate a wonderful year of preschool! Following a short program, students will be provided with a picnic style lunch to eat outdoors. You are invited to bring your own picnic and join us for lunch outdoors. After lunch, students will return to the classroom for rest time and end of day activities, or you are welcome to sign them out at that time.

Mon 5/25: NO SCHOOL Memorial Day

Tues 5/26: Regular Day with birthday (Victoria) story time with family

Wed 5/27: Half-Day 

• Lunch will not be served. Students are dismissed at 10:50 am.

Mrs. Bowman's Full Day classroom Logistics:

• Students attend Monday – Thursday, from 7:30am – 2:23pm.

• Please park in the southwest lot near the preschool playground and drop off and pick up your students directly from the classroom. The playground gate opens from the inside of the gate. (Reach over to press the bar and ensure it latches behind you.

• My classroom is marked with a large #4 on the outside of the door.

• Please ensure all adults who will be picking up your child have been listed as an authorized contact. We will request to see identification until we know your trusted adults. Please contact Fullana at 970-490-3204 if you need to add a contact to your file.

Meals:

• Breakfast and lunch will be provided at no cost to you, or you are welcome to bring a meal from home.

• We will brush teeth after breakfast.

Please label and bring to school:

• Nap supplies

  • Crib sheet (A standard crib sheet fits our cots.)

  • Blanket & Pillow

  • Stuffed animal

• A refillable water bottle

• A set of extra clothes to keep in your child’s cubby

• Diapers & wipes, if needed

Please do NOT bring to school:

• Toys from home

Illness:

If your child will not be at school, please call the attendance line for Early Childhood at 970-490-3336 to report their absence. Please provide:

• Child’s first and last name (spell the child’s last name)

• Student’s date of birth

• School name

• Teacher name

• Reason for absence. (Briefly let us know the reason your child is absent)

• If your child is sick, please leave a description of their symptoms (abdominal cramps, chills, diarrhea, fever, headache, muscle aches, rash, vomiting/throwing up or other)
