Lunch and Learn

Join us for our GT "Lunch and Learn" presentation series.  "Lunch and Learn" is an opportunity for GT students to access programming that extends beyond the traditional offerings at FRHS.  They will take place over lunch, and pizza will be provided!

Peace Corps and Living Abroad (Presented by Ms. Plank)

Ms. Plank will present on her experience as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Federated States of Micronesia.  She'll discuss what the Peace Corps is and her participation as a community volunteer who experienced intense cultural immersion.  If you are interested in living abroad or being part of an international volunteer organization, this will be of interest to you. 

Science Undergrad and Grad Experience (Presented by Ms. Smyser)

Are you interested in pursuing a degree in Science?  Ms. Smyser will share what she learned through her own experiences navigating the world of college level science programs. She will discuss suggestions on what questions to ask at college visits, the importance of undergrad research experience, and the differences between small liberal arts programs and large R1 universities.  This session will help you prepare for your own college planning journey.
