AP GOV

Google Classroom is our main platform for course organization, assignments and a classroom conversation stream.

The textbook for the AP GOV course is from Pearson. There are specific instructions for registration. The pdf instructions can be found on the google classroom page. You'll need the access code and course code to register. See resources page on classroom for this information.

Parlay is an online discussion forum. Each week students will be required to watch a video and read an article related to the theme for that week. Students will be graded on the quality of their posted response to the discussion questions and how they respond to peers responses. A unique parlay code will be posted to google classroom as an assignment each week.

Socrative is an online assessment tool that will be used for weekly vocabulary quizzes. Most Fridays I will launch the vocabulary quiz at 9am. Students will login in with the Room Name: Tholl and have 45 minutes to complete the quiz.

Quizlet is a place to practice vocabulary for the Friday quizzes. Play around with the vocabulary flashcards and other tools to refine your knowledge of government terminology.

Flipgrid is a tool for students to respond to a question through a short video. Your class has a unique login code that is listed in the resources and links page of the Google Classroom.
