Required Materials for class:

• Wind players need a tuner with microphone

  • • Stand-alone tuners available on Amazon or at Boomer Music

    • Plug-in microphones available on Amazon or at Boomer Music

    • Clip-on tuners available on Amazon or at Boomer Music (not appropriate for flutes, saxophones, french horns, baritones or tubas)

• Percussionists need a stick bag with the following sticks:

  • • Concert Snare Drum sticks - Vic Firth SD1 or similar (available on Amazon or at Boomer Music)

    • Rubber bell mallets - Any soft, rubber mallet (many available online or at Boomer Music)

    • Timpani Mallets - Vic Firth T1 (available on Amazon or at Boomer Music)

    • Yarn Mallets - Balter Basics BBB@ Medium or similar (available on Amazon or at Boomer Music)

• All players need a metronome. There are many apps available for phones/tablets. I highly recommend the Tonal Energy app ($3.99 on the app store) because it is a tuner, metronome, and recording device all in one. It does not replace the need for a stand-alone tuner with a microphone, which can be used in rehearsal while others are playing.
