5th Grade Teacher Learning Pages
Here at Eyestone, when your student is in 5th Grade, it is our goal to prepare them to be successful in middle and high school. What that means, is that our students experience multiple teachers for their subjects. We want to meet each student's needs as much as possible, so for reading and math, the students are ability grouped.
Mrs. Lamb and Mrs. Perkins teach reading, Mrs. de Moya and Mrs. Testa teach math. These classes are mixed with students from all four homeroom classes.
For writing and social studies/science, the homeroom classes will travel together and receive these contents as a homeroom class. Mrs. de Moya and Mrs. Testa teach writing. Mrs. Lamb and Mrs. Perkins teach social studies/science.
Each 5th Grade student will have an individual schedule letting them know who their reading and math teacher will be AND if they have reading or math 1st block or 2nd block.
