Let's CONNECT!
Hello Dolphin community, welcome aboard! We are the mental health team at Dunn Elementary.
Hello everyone! I am Luna Barbosa (she/her), school counselor at Dunn Elementary since 2024. Besides my role as a counselor, I also work as the 504 plan coordinator for our building and one of the McKinney Vento advocates at Dunn.
This is my sixth year working as a school counselor, and I have 10+ years of experience working in education. As a school counselor, I am committed to the development of a comprehensive school counseling program that supports students' social-emotional, academic, and career development. My work is strength-based, and I believe that ALL students can learn. I value culturally responsive education, diversity, and anti-racist educational practices. My personal mission is to ensure that all students feel welcomed and supported in the school environment and succeed social-emotionally and academically.
Outside of my work life, I love spending time with my partner and toddler, playing with my dogs, embroidering/sewing, watching the Broncos, and hanging out with friends.
Hi! My name is Christy Stiger (she/her) and I’m the Mental Health Specialist serving students at Dunn Elementary. This is my 9th year in this role at Poudre School District, and my first year at Dunn. I’m so excited to be a Dunn Dolphin!
I love supporting students through the full spectrum of emotions that they may be carrying throughout the school day. I strive to create a safe, supportive space to process their thoughts and feelings and to remind them of their strengths and resiliency. It’s an honor to walk beside a child as they navigate this process and to support their growth.
I also want to introduce Sherman, my certified therapy dog who will be joining me at school most days. This is Sherman’s fourth year being a therapy dog in the PSD system. He’s a dark red Golden Retriever and is exceptionally patient and intuitive. He will often be in the counseling office on Wednesdays and may be in the halls throughout the day. Students are not obligated at all to interact with him, but they’re welcome to pet him if they want! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about Sherman!
Hello! My name is Jessica Loveall, and I have been a School Psychologist for 15 years, the last 7 years within Poudre School District. This is my 3rd year at Dunn and I am here on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I have worked at all grade levels over the course of my career and enjoy working with elementary aged students! My role is to provide consultation, assessment, behavior, and mental health support primarily for students who receive Special Education, but I also am available to all students for behavior and mental health support. I love working with the Dunn staff and helping students feel a sense of belonging, self-awareness, and self-competence.
When not at Dunn, I also work part time for CSU in the Dance Program. There, my focus is teaching undergraduates and collaboratively developing engagement activities and professional development opportunities for CO public school educators to help bring more movement into schools that centers Social Emotional Learning. In my free time I love to dance, read, spend time in nature, and have fun with my family and friends.
