Tips for Student Success
Attend Class
The less absences you have, the better you will do in class.
Make Up Missed Work
Talk to your peers and check the online class to find out what you missed.
Check the online gradebook.
Talk to me to get help on things you didn’t understand.
Ask for Help
If you don’t understand something, ask for help before your grade drops.
Use the Online Classroom
Try the games, practice the flip cards, watch the videos.
There are a lot of things in the online classroom to help you learn, use them!
Look At the Calendar
If you know you are going to be absent, make arrangements to do the work before you leave.
All of your major test dates will be posted at least two weeks in advance, plan ahead.
Take Good Notes in Class and When Reading at Home
Your notebook will be graded each quarter and you can sometimes use your notebook on tests.
Do the Homework
You have homework every afternoon in this class.
If you don’t know what your homework is, check the online class.
When the homework is reading, make sure you read, take notes and know.
Take the Practice Tests Online
All of the test questions are available for you a week before the test.
Take the practice test over and over again until you are getting 100% three times in a row.
Check Your Grades Online Frequently
Check to see if you are missing work and to make sure that all your grades are entered accurately.
Don’t Count On Extra Credit
I don’t give extra credit so don’t count on it.
Do things right the first time and your grade will be fine.
