Algebra 1 2024-2025

1st semester Algebra units includes Solving Linear Equations, Graphing and Writing Linear Equations, Solving Linear Inequalities, Solving Systems of Linear Equations, Linear Functions, and Exponential Equations and Functions. We will have quizzes and assessments covering each unit to determine overall grade in this course. Make sure Google Classroom is checked daily for practice assignments, pacing and assessments/quizzes. The first semester can be difficult, as the course moves at high pace and expectations are high. The course is incredibly challenging, and this may be the first time you have to deal with pressure and anxiety in fulfilling all the demands and requirements presented. If you bring a strong work ethic and do your best to compete all the assigned practice work, your chance of doing well on all the assessments will be greatly increased and you will ultimately be rewarded with high school credit and have gained a wealth of knowledge and  the experience needed to do well in your future high school courses. A sustained effort is essential for success. I look forward to watching you become the best of yourself, to grow not just mathematically, but in all academic areas.
