I am originally from Northern California, but I grew up here in Ft. Collins with my parents and 3 siblings. My husband and I have an amazing son that we get to raise.
I am a graduate of Poudre School District going through Beattie Elementary, Webber Middle School, and Rocky Mountain High School.
I attended Front Range Community College for an Associate of Arts degree in Elementary Education. From there, I transferred and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado. I have been teaching since 2015 and have taught 3rd grade in Colorado Springs, and 5th and then 3rd grade at Beattie.
In February 2022, I completed my Master's in Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Digital Learning and Teaching. I love learning new practices to bring to the classroom!
Beattie has always been my home. I attended Beattie from Kindergarten through 6th grade as well as volunteered here for several years throughout high school and college. In college, I completed my student teaching right here at Beattie in 3rd grade. In 2018, I moved back to Ft. Collins and was so lucky that I got to come back to the school that has been so close to my heart. I have always loved how welcoming Beattie is; how it is full of teachers, administration, and staff who truly care about kids. It is a privilege to be a part of a positive and caring community.
Some of favorite things to do in my free time are exercise and read. I love being a teacher and mother.
My husband and I enjoy taking walks with our son and visiting with our family who live in town.
