Kindergarten

December

We are becoming familiar with some popular holiday songs in preparation for our school sing-along and starting to learn some of the lyrics to join in on the singing. We're also learning the basics of playing keyboards, including how to properly treat an instrument and learning how it works.

November

We are learning the basics of reading music - tracking beats and rhythms, see how sounds are represented as higher and lower, and playing Boomwhackers on cue as we track a song together. We're also learning some fun music games to play as a class.

October

This month, we are solidifying classroom routines. We are also exploring the basics of singing in a choir - from standing on risers to bowing after a performance. We are working on internalizing steady beat and performing a beat to basic songs and games.
