About

Writers Week is an annual celebration of writing in all forms and varieties. It is a week in which published authors, students, administrators, teachers, and staff members share and discuss their writing and writing processes.

Writers Week seeks to excite and inspire students to write their own truths and provide a platform for the diverse voices of PHS, to foster a more accepting and compassionate school community, and to remind students that writing is not limited to the walls of the classroom.

Throughout the week, students will be able to learn from and ask questions of published authors, poets, musicians, journalists, etc., known locally, nationally and even internationally.

Writers Week is a unique and memorable experience that only a handful of students across the nation get to experience. It is a week in which our students get to rub elbows with and ask advice of some of the best and most celebrated professional writers. This event will showcase the beauty of a diverse school population, and highlight the positives of our school and community.

Writers Week was founded in 1995 by William Fremd High School. PHS began our Writers Week in 2018.
