COMMUNICATION - Check school email, Canvas inbox, and Canvas course announcements daily. Communicate with your teacher frequently!
HELP - Get help early and often.
PACING - Set a reasonable schedule for yourself. Summer school courses often require a lot of work in a short amount of time. Don't wait to get started!
ORGANIZATION - Consider using a Reminder app or a physical planner to keep track of due dates and to-do lists. Crossing things off lists is sooooo gratifying! The Canvas Calendar can help you also.
ZOOM - When on Zoom, keep it professional. Wear appropriate clothes, use good lighting, and school-appropriate backgrounds. GET OUT OF BED! Participate and engage with your teacher and classmates in chat and on camera.
LEARNING SPACE - When doing independent work, find a space where you can concentrate with little disruption. Disable notifications on your devices so you aren't distracted.
ACADEMIC INTEGRITY - Maintain a high level of academic integrity by completing all your own work and using your own thoughts to complete assignments. AKA... don't cheat. Get help from your teacher instead.
KEEP HEALTY HABITS - Set timers and make time for screen breaks. Take time to step away from your device and stretch, meditate, read, or relax to give your eyes and spine a much needed break.
