HUMAN SERVICES

Career Pathways & Courses

If you have a passion for serving others, Pattonville has pathways for Childhood Development and Family and Community Services that may interest you. To serve and support a diverse community, consider taking Modern Language courses as well. Learn about these, and other opportunities like Peer Assistance and Leadership, by linking to more information here in the PHS Course Catalog or in each section below. To learn about courses that can also provide college credit opportunities, see this link: College Credit Opportunities at PHS.

Through Pattonville's Childhood Development pathway students learn about childhood development and then work within the PHS Playschool, an on-site community preschool. Students develop activities and lessons and lead students in learning through play. Students can also take part in the Family and Community Services pathway which includes courses in human relations.

Students also can take part in the Peer Assistance and Leadership, supporting their fellow students in transitioning from middle to high school.

Learn to support diverse communities by exploring another language and culture in our Modern Language courses.
