Few things to keep in mind - the distance at the State meet has changed over time from 2 mile, to 2.5 miles, to 5k; this list is only for the 5k distance. Additionally, the State XC course has changed dramatically over the years - the course in Jefferson City is tougher in comparison to the course in Columbia at Gans Creek - keep that in consideration as well.

This list is a compilation of the best 5k times in school history. There is some uncertainty in the list, Mo.Milesplit didn't really exist and collect data outside of Post-Season races until the later 2000's. Times from Pre-Milesplit do exist but some years are hard to come by so some times from the past may be missing. Finally, the Pattonville program has been around since the 1960's, the 5k distance for Cross Country didn't begin until the 1980's, some of the honorable mentions are athletes that ran before the 5k distance was established.
