Draft 2018-2019 & 2019-2020 Calendar Feedback

The Pattonville School District Calendar Committee has developed DRAFT calendars for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years. When developing the calendars, the committee primarily focused on developing calendars that support improving student achievement. Other factors considered during the development of the calendars included family and staff considerations, professional development needs, and holidays/special events.

Features of the DRAFT calendars include the following:

  • A shorter first week of school for students.
  • Four common early dismissal days at the elementary school and middle school levels
  • No school for students on November 6, 2018 due to midterm elections.
  • Six emergency days (snow days) are built into each calendar, as required by state law (the ending dates of school will be rolled back if these days are not used).

Please provide suggestions and/or comments regarding the calendars by November 20, 2017 using the feedback form for both the 2018-19 and 2019-20 calendars. Feedback on the DRAFT calendars will be reviewed and considered by the calendar committee before final versions of the calendars are recommended.
