Timeline

Registration opens August 30, 2023 through September 29, 2023. Payment is due by October 6, 2023. 

1. Sponsors may begin submitting registration via Google form (via website and link emailed out) on August 30, 2023.

2. In order for registration to be complete, sometime between August 30, 2023, and October 6, 2023, the committee MUST receive an online registration form and check for $40 made out to Pattonville Heights Middle School. (Please add your school name in the memo if you are writing a personal check.) The completed registration form and check should be mailed to Pattonville Heights Middle School, c/o Rachel Woodson, 195 Fee Fee Road, Maryland Heights, MO 63043. Registration is not complete until both registration form and accurate payment are received.

3. If the check has not been received by October 6, 2023, the registration will not be considered. Sponsors needing to request a district check, must do this in plenty of time to avoid missing the deadline. Note: Many sponsors just write a personal check and then get reimbursed by their district later. 

4. Team sponsors will receive an email confirming the receipt of their check by October 11, 2023.

5. During the week of October 9, 2023, team numbers will randomly be assigned for up to 42 teams who have submitted the online registration with a check made payable to Pattonville Heights Middle School.

6. Any teams who did not make the original 42 will be given the option of having their check held and put on a waiting list or have their check returned.

Teams read and prepare for competition

January - February

Semi-final round questions will be provided to buildings via email.

Hold building semi-final battle or tryouts (if necessary) to identify one team for area-wide competition

Deadline to submit team roster for the Area-Wide Middle School Book Battle via Google Form which will be available on the book battle website
