PHS Girls Soccer VPO relies on our parents and community to help make every soccer season successful. VPO is our Volunteer Parent Organization and it is an essential part of all sports at PHS. Check out all of the awesome ways that parents can get involved below. Please contact our VPO reps if you are interested in being a part of the team that supports your athletes all season long!
Lead VPO Parents:
Adam McCabe, Chair, amccabe01050@gmail.com, (253)208-7081
Jim Lee, Treasurer, firecrew@comcast.net
Home and Away Game Dinners:
We will have team dinners for all home games for both Varsity and JV. Parent volunteers from each team are needed to donate time and dinner to feed our athletes. Varsity will eat prior to their game, and JV will eat after theirs. Dinners are set-up in the school commons area. Families are welcome to sign up together, or individually. We need all home games to be covered!
AWAY GAME MEAL PICK-UP SIGN-UP
We will be feeding the team in transit to our evening away games. VPO has arranged for Jimmy John's sandwiches at a reduced price and ASB/VPO will provide water and sides such as chips and fruit snacks. For the regular season schedule, each athlete is asked to pay $5 for each evening away game (total of $30) and VPO will be covering the remaining expense. VPO will be evaluating the budget and expenses for district and state playoffs mid-October. Please reach out to Coach if assistance is needed, all athletes will be fed no questions asked!
The order will be pre-paid and delivery to the school is needed by 2:20 pm. Please keep receipts and turn into Coach.
Home Game Concessions:
Coordinator: Andrea Cichanski, andreacichanski@gmail.com
We will be running concessions during the home games on 9/24, 9/26, 10/8, and 10/17 this year. We are asking families to both donate and volunteer to man the concession stand during our home games. Ideally, Varsity families will volunteer during the JV game, and JV families will volunteer during the Varsity game. This will allow you to both volunteer and watch your athlete play ball. All funds raised go towards supporting our soccer program, with the goal of the first purchase being new team warm-ups!

Team Spirit Wear:
Coordinator: Maria Kusche, miblackwell@hotmail.com
Opal Owl Crafts by Julie Winslowe is a local business that has created a website of swag for our team, as well as other PHS athletic teams. We receive 10% return on items purchased at the PHS GIRLS SOCCER STORE.
We will also have two separate personalized swag orders from Kitsap Screen Printing, one early September and one at end of September, for delivery straight to practice. Athletes will bring home a printed order form to return. PHS Girls Soccer receives ~$5 return on each item purchased.
Pink Out Night:
Coordinator: Nadine Mart, nadinemmart@gmail.com
It is a PHS tradition that we host a game during October that supports Breast Cancer Awareness. For this game, we make posters, wear our Pink Out shirts, and promote during the week via social media. The Coordinator will be in charge of helping organize the evening and all of the "extras" - in the past we have done a raffle of donated items and given the money to a Breast Cancer Awareness charity, decorated for the event, announced some facts over the loudspeaker for the night, etc.

S.A.V.E. Thrift Store Volunteer Hours and Senior Scholarships:
Coordinator: Andrea Cichanski, andreacichanski@gmail.com
It is a PHS tradition that the entire team volunteer at the Seahawk Academic & Vocational Education (S.A.V.E.) Thrift Store for a month during the year. Hours worked by our team earn athletes individual volunteer hours as well as scholarship money through the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund for our seniors that turn in a scholarship portfolio and have been a member of the PHS Girls Soccer Program for all 4 years. Consideration for senior scholarship is also given to transfer students that have participated in another school's soccer program for a total of 4 years. The Coordinator will be in charge of organizing the volunteer hours at the S.A.V.E. Thrift Store and being in contact with the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund Committee to represent PHS Girls Soccer.
For more information about the Peninsula Hawks Scholarship Fund and S.AV.E. Thift Store, go HERE.
Senior Night:
Commitee:
It is a PHS tradition to celebrate our Seniors on one of our final home games of the season. One of our Junior parents is typically (but not always!) the coordinator of the evening to make sure that this night is "over the top" special. This parent is in charge of helping the Junior players collect the donations from players to organize gift baskets for the Seniors, decorating for the evening, making sure that posters are made, etc. Remember - your player will be a Senior someday and you will want this night to be special for them, too!
For more information on how to coordinate Senior Night, go HERE.
End of Season Banquet:
Commitee:
We like to provide a fun and inclusive end of season banquet for our players to celebrate our accomplishments and camaraderie from the season. If you are interested in helping to plan and organize the banquet with the coaches, please let us know!
Fundraising:
Snap! Raise Coordinator: Adam McCabe, amccabe01050@gmail.com
Car Wash Coordinator: Adam McCabe, amccabe01050@gmail.com
Take Over Event Coordinator: Adam McCabe, amccabe01050@gmail.com
Since our ASB funds are limited, we will be fundraising through VPO for many of our purchases during our season. Some ways that we can fundraise are through Snap! Raise, car washes, take over events, donations from sponsors, concessions or any other creative ideas that parents and players come up with. These dollars go towards away game meals, warm-ups, team events, Game Day shirts, State Playoff sweatshirts, Scholarships for Seniors, and other items for all of our players. It is critical to fundraise every single year to support the PHS Girls Soccer Program.
Snap! Raise is our BIG fundraiser campaign with an annual goal of $5000 to support our program. Information is sent out by Coach early September and the campaign is active until early October. All team members are expected to participate as everyone in our program benefits. The goal for each athlete is $125. Athletes will join the team campaign by a unique link provided by Coach, create a personalized page and add contacts to share with friends and family. Once joined, each athlete will receive a personalized link by email that can be shared on social media and any other means available. The more people that know about our fundraiser, the better! Separate from the individual athlete's pages, the team campaign can be found HERE.
Thank you to all that participated in and donated to our 2024 Fan Angel fundraiser! The team was VERY successful and raised over $5100!
The car wash fundraiser was held on Saturday, August 30st, and was a HUGE success! The team raised over $1300. Great job ladies and special thanks to Pat Furman at The Float for allowing us to use the parking lot. The Float continues to be a great supporter of all PHS programs.
Thank you to the supporters of the PHS Girls Soccer Program!
Thank you to everyone that supports our PHS Girls Soccer program in every way - from volunteering to monetary donations to coming to watch our games!
