Eagle Pointe Art Room

Welcome Students and Families

Not Your Average Art Room

Welcome to the Eagle Pointe Art Room. I am Mrs. Rimdzius, your child's art teacher. In this classroom, we are more than just artists! Students will...

...explore art and culture from around the world.

...examine art and objects for important details to help us draw and paint.

...practice using a variety of artistic tools and techniques.

...describe how artwork looks, how it makes us feel, and the messages it can send.

...lead and support peers by sharing ideas, failures, and successes.

...think of creative ways to solve artistic problems.

...be positive role models and help one another become better artists.

I am really looking forward to another year of exploring art with your child!

Why is art important?

The arts are for everyone!

The arts can benefit students' math, reading, writing, problem-solving, and social emotional skills. The arts also increase student attendance rates and boost a child's self-confidence.

What will my child learn in art this year?

Explore your creativity.

The art curriculum is designed to build on skills and concepts every school year. Students will learn about the elements of art through artist studies, material exploration, art critiques, project construction, and collaboration.

Support Your Child's Inner Artist

Art to Remember PTO Fundraiser: Support Your Child and Our School

Art to Remember is THE project student's look forward to EVERY year! In the Fall, students create a special piece of art. That art is then printed on a variety of keepsakes that can be purchased. A portion of the proceeds go back to our PTO and back to our students in the form of family events and assemblies.

This is a great way to enjoy and preserve art memories for years to come.
