Introduction
This program is to empower secondary school students (Form 2 to Form 4) with the knowledge and skills to apply artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data science in solving real-world social challenges. Through hands-on projects in areas like healthcare, environmental sustainability, and disaster response, the program fosters innovation, critical thinking, and practical impact—while inspiring interest in STEM and AI-related careers.
Competition Theme
In this competition, you will work in a team to create a project using Machine Learning (ML) and data science. Your goal is to choose a real-world problem related to the listed 10 goals of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) such as health, education, poverty, climate change, or clean water.
You can use AI, ML, and data science tools to find patterns, make predictions, or provide useful insights. The project should show how technology can make a positive impact on people or the environment.

Pre-Requisites
Eligibility:
Open to secondary school students (Form 2 - Form 4) from public schools, private agama schools, or private Chinese independent schools in Penang.
Form a team of 2 students from the same school.
Form 2 students must pair with a Form 3 or Form 4 student.
Have a genuine interest in STEM, especially in areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science.
Possess basic knowledge of Python programming.
Good command of English communication skills (verbal and written)
Workshops Venue:
All sessions will be conducted physically at Penang Science Cluster Heritage@Bagan, 42 Penang, and Keysight Technologies, Bayan Lepas.
Full Commitment:
Once registered, must commit to attending all workshops and participating in the competition

Project Requirement and Submission
Participants must submit the following (by 1 October 2026, 10pm) :

No fees will be charged for this competition.
Offensive, illegal, or harmful content is strictly prohibited.
Participants are encouraged to use AI tools ethically and responsibly. Any AI-generated content must be properly cited or acknowledged.
The competition organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entries that contain inappropriate or copyrighted content from other participants, or that fail to comply with the competition rules, regulations and project requirements.
By submitting a project, participants agree that the organisers may showcase their work for educational or promotional purposes, with appropriate credit.
Final decisions rest with the judging panel and are non-negotiable.
Project must be submitted on 1 October 2026 by 10.00 pm before evaluation on the next day.
Late submissions will not be entertained.
