War and Women's Human Rights Museum
Field Trip
This past Saturday, a small group of Yonsei PSCORE members visited the War and Women's Human Rights Museum in a secluded neighborhood in the Mapo district. We were greeted graciously by the museum's attendees, who of which gave us an introduction to the museum's history. Afterwards, we had time to explore the museum's exhibits. Gradually, members split off, some taking more time in certain areas, quietly reading about the plights and horrors the comfort women faced at the hands of the Japanese. While sobering, this museum also offers feelings of comfort and preservation, existing as a monument so that such a case of human rights violations may never occur again in our history.
Following the museum visit, Yonsei PSCORE visited a nearby restaurant for lunch, where members were able to try some North Korean style dishes, such as "Hamheung noodle (농마국수)" and "Injo-gogi-bap (인조고기밥)".
