On April 30, PSB finalized and released to all K-8 staff our Common Learning Expectations for Remote Learning. These expectations are based on PSB’s existing Learning Expectations and are designed to help provide clarity and direction for each K-8 teacher and make it clearer to families what their K-8 students will be learning between now and the end of school. They focus on the skills and concepts needed to progress to the next grade.
The Common Learning Expectations are intended as a guide to help prioritize teaching and learning goals under the context of our current constraints, and to help ensure that students have as a common foundation as possible at the start of the next academic year. They are not intended to dictate curriculum, activities, methods, or approaches. As always, PSB welcomes and encourages our teachers to use creative and innovative approaches will vary across classrooms and teacher teams.
