Colleen Muldoon grew up in Delaware and moved to Boston for graduate school at Boston University. In 2001, she completed her Ed. M. in Early Childhood Education and continued her work as a Preschool teacher. Ms. Muldoon began teaching Kindergarten at Pierce in 2006. She loves music—she sings, dances, and plays guitar in KM! She enjoys sports and playing golf with Miss Newell and Ms. Bastable! An avid baker, she continues to hone her skills and loves making treats for her friends and family. At Pierce, she is active with the PTO and is the Pierce School Liaison on the PSED Board.
Janice McKeown grew up in Westwood, MA and received her undergraduate degree from Colby College in Waterville, ME. She worked for over 20 years in various Marketing and Product Development roles for two major footwear companies. Teaching had always been in her heart, though, so… believing that “it’s never too late,” she went to Brandeis University and received her MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) in 2011. She spent her first three years as an educator in Newton, MA, and came to Brookline in September of 2014. Before coming to Pierce in 2020, she spent six years at the Runkle School, mostly as a RISE Paraprofessional. Ms. McKeown loves to play any kind of game, especially with her three grandsons. She also loves being outdoors by the ocean or skiing down mountains. Ms. McKeown is a fan of Broadway musicals and you might even catch her humming or singing show tunes in the classroom. She is so excited to be back with Ms. Muldoon in KM!
