K-2 Music Curriculum

Kindergarten- By the end of this year in music, Kindergarteners will be starting to match pitch in singing, keep a steady beat, move while singing, and show appreciation for diverse styles of music.

1st Grade- By the end of this year in music, first graders will be matching pitch most of the time, keeping a steady beat, moving in response to music, and identifying some diverse styles of music specifically from China and Mexico.

2nd Grade- By the end of this year in music, second graders will be matching pitch, keeping a steady beat, using locomotor moves in response to specific parts of music and performing diverse styles of music specifically from Japan and Ghana.
