Mock Caldecott 2023
How it Works
Our "award season" will run from the end of November until the end of January, when both the Brookline Mock Caldecott Award and the real Caldecott Medal will be awarded. Students across Brookline's elementary schools will learn how to judge picture books according to the criteria set by the American Library Association. We will then read and discuss ten possible winners published in 2022. After all this careful consideration, students will have a chance to vote for their favorite and the book with the most votes will win the prestigious Brookline Mock Caldecott Award.Â
