Supporting supplemental inclusive education
Supporting supplemental inclusive education
PSBI Learning Academy, Inc. is a nonprofit, in-person learning community where all learners are welcomed and included. We use trauma-informed evidence-based practices to provide supplemental education that supports behavioral needs, learning‑how‑to‑learn skills, academics, life skills, and communication across ages and profiles. Our goal is to offer a safe, nurturing space where diverse learners can build skills, confidence, and independence alongside their peers- and where families can learn how to support and advocate for their children.
PSBI Learning Academy, Inc. is in an intentional development phase, building sustainable programs that support inclusive supplemental education and ethical, progressive practices. Community support through fundraising, sponsorships, and donations play a critical role in launching and maintaining this work.

LEARN
Lily is a bright and energetic nine-year-old who loves being outdoors, enjoys drawing and collecting stickers, she loves popcorn and Yahoo drink. Most of all, Lily loves her mother and enjoys going to school. Lily has autism, and she is the inspiration behind PSBI Learning Academy, Inc.
Like many children with autism, Lily is eligible for a range of services, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Despite this eligibility, Lily and her family have faced significant barriers to accessing services and supports. Living in a rural community has meant extensive waitlists, reduced availability of providers, and, most of the time limited to no access altogether. Lily has been waiting for more than three years for services that are commonly recommended and considered essential for children with autism.
Sadly, Lily’s experience is not unique. Across New York State and beyond, many children face long delays for diagnosis and intervention. These wait times are often even longer for families living in less populated or rural communities. Additional challenges can arise when children have complex needs related to behavior and communication, further limiting available supports.
PSBI Learning Academy, Inc. was created in response to these gaps. Our goal is to provide high-quality, supplemental educational and behavioral supports that are inclusive accessible, meaningful, and responsive to real family needs. We aim to empower parents and caregivers with knowledge, tools, and guidance to help them navigate service barriers and actively support their children’s learning and development.
PSBI Learning Academy, Inc. begins with the mission of serving families in one community, with a long-term vision of expanding to multiple locations throughout Western New York and beyond. Inspired by Lily and children like her, we are committed to building compassionate, practical solutions that ensure access to support does not depend on geography or long waitlists.
