S.1. The required number of faculty have educational and other qualifications appropriate and relevant to the program, namely:
S.1.1. BS in Fisheries or related field (e.g. food science, aquatic biology, oceanography) as basic preparation;

S.1.2. Ph.D degrees in fields of specialization for 50% full-time;

S.1.3. Master's degrees for full-time non-master's degree holders within a period not exceeding five (5) years from the date of the issuance of CMO No. 43, S. 2007; and

S.1.4. A valid certificate of registration and professional license in fisheries issued by PRC.

S.2. Other qualification such as the following are considered:
S.2.1. professional related experience;

S.2.4. technical skills and competence,and

S.3. Faculty handling OJT/practicum courses have had at least three (3) years of teaching and industry-based experience in the field.

S.4. At least 50% of the faculty have earned relevant graduate degrees.
