About Me

I have been in education for 13 years and have a passion for lifelong living and learning. I have an educational background in Exercise Science, Masters on Education in Culturally and Linguistically diverse Education, and Career and Technical Education, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The passion I have for progressive education has led me to partner with the Buck Institute For Education who is the leading providers and researchers of Project Based Learning and am also a National Faculty member. I not only get the opportunity to use my knowledge and skills to create engaging, meaningful, real world, and authentic projects for our wonderful students at PSAS but I also get to collaborate and teach other educators around the country the power of “making” and what the Gold Standard of Project Based Learning looks like.

My family and myself are very active and enjoy things that challenge us both intellectually as well as physically. I really like weight training and playing sports. Athletics is actually what brought me to Pueblo. I played 4 years of baseball at CSU- Pueblo, formally known as University of Southern Colorado. My wife Linsey is a hair stylist and owns a salon called Platinum and Co. When she is not doing hair and make-up she also weight trains and aerial arts. My kiddos are just as involved and really like baseball, softball, gymnastics, aerial arts and karate. When we are not doing something physical indoors or out, we like building things around our house and doing little mini challenges with Legos or with crafts.
