BASIC LAND SURVEYING course aims to provide students with the knowledge on matters relating with survey and construction. This course emphasises the basics of distance measurement, bearing, and angle to get the shape of the terrain and the position on the field. Additionally, it equips students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary in operating and handling survey instruments, controlling surveys, collecting data or its acquisition, calculating, and plotting surveyworks. Furthermore, it raises awareness of the necessity of precise data for use in subsequent surveying projects.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to:

CLO2 : Perform fieldwork using appropriate instruments based on standard procedures in land surveying practice. (P4, PLO3)
