Rationale
Objectives
The 2026 Inventory of Censuses and Surveys aims to strengthen coordination, transparency, and efficiency in the conduct of government statistical data collection activities within the PSS. Specifically, it seeks to:
Provide a comprehensive and up-to-date account of surveys and censuses conducted by government agencies;
Support informed planning, monitoring, and oversight of statistical activities; and
Promote coherence, harmonization, and responsible statistical governance across the PSS.
Scope and Coverage
The inventory shall cover censuses, surveys, and other structured statistical data collection activities conducted or planned by:
National Government Agencies;
PSA Central and Regional Offices; and
Other government offices that are engaged in the production of official statistics.
Preparation and Dissemination of the 2026 Statistical Survey Review and Clearance System Advocacy Letter to Regional Line Agencies and Local Government Units
All Regional Statistical Services Offices (RSSOs) are directed to disseminate advocacy letters for the Statistical Survey Review and Clearance System (SSRCS) to the Regional Line Agencies (RLAs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) within their respective jurisdictions.
RSSOs shall ensure proper transmission of the advocacy letters and undertake the necessary coordination to encourage compliance with SSRCS requirements, including the submission of ongoing and planned statistical activities for review and clearance.
