🧱🤖 LEGO Robotics/ Structural Design (Grades 1–5)
Our LEGO Robotics/ Structural Design program offers a fun, hands-on learning experience where students build, design, and problem-solve using LEGO Education SPIKE and traditional LEGO bricks. Through structured challenges, imaginative play, and an introduction to structural design, students explore engineering, creativity, and beginning coding in an engaging and supportive environment.
Students can choose between two exciting learning paths:
🤖 Robotics Track
Build robots and vehicles using LEGO SPIKE
Learn basic coding to make models move and respond
Explore concepts like sequencing, loops, and cause and effect
Create imaginative robotic characters, stories, and missions that bring their builds to life
🧱 Creative Engineering & Structural Design Track
Design and build original LEGO structures and inventions
Explore structural design concepts such as balance, stability, strength, and support
Create buildings, bridges, towers, and other architectural models using LEGO bricks
Test, improve, and redesign builds to make them stronger and more efficient
Engage in imaginative play by creating cities, worlds, and storytelling scenes with their creations
Students participate in fun engineering and design challenges such as:
Building vehicles that move a certain distance
Designing structures that meet specific goals (height, strength, or stability)
Constructing bridges or towers that can hold weight or withstand movement
Creating inventions to solve real world inspired problems
Incorporating imaginative play scenarios, where students design solutions within creative storylines and adventures
Problem solving and critical thinking
Creativity and innovation
Early coding and engineering concepts
Understanding of structural design and basic architecture principles
Collaboration and teamwork
Imagination and storytelling through play
Students often work in pairs or small groups to brainstorm ideas, build models, and share solutions. Teachers guide and support students while encouraging independence, imaginative thinking, creative exploration, and thoughtful design.
By the end of the program, students will have stronger engineering and problem-solving skills, a foundational understanding of structural design, increased confidence in creativity and technology, and a deeper appreciation for how imagination, design, and innovation work together.
