Our Comic Book Making program invites students to become authors and artists as they create their own original comics from start to finish! This fun, hands-on class combines storytelling, writing, drawing, and inking to help students produce polished, final pieces in a creative and supportive environment.
How to create original characters with unique traits and personalities
How to build a story with a beginning, middle, and end
How to write dialogue using speech bubbles and captions
How to use inking techniques to outline and finalize drawings, making artwork bold, clear, and expressive
Students will:
Plan and organize their ideas into comic panels
Draw characters, settings, and action scenes
Use facial expressions and movement to show emotion and action
Ink their sketches to create clean, finished comic pages ready for sharing
Students are encouraged to:

Experiment with penciling and inking to enhance their artwork

Students work at their own pace with step-by-step guidance from teachers. The program encourages creativity, independence, and collaboration in a fun and relaxed setting while helping students refine their work into finished pieces.
By the end of the program, each student will complete their own original, inked comic book and feel proud of their work as both a writer and an artist, with a finished product they can share and keep.
