KINDERGARTEN

This week we are going to read a book titled Bonkers Likes to Bark. You will read about all the different things that dogs, like Bonkers, like to bark at.

Monday April 27

Before you read the book, Bonkers Likes to Bark tell a family member, if you have a dog, what your dog barks at. Then draw a picture and write about something your dog barks at. Take a picture of your work and send it to me.

If you don’t have a dog tell a family member what you think dogs bark at. Then draw a picture and write about something you think dogs bark at. Take a picture of your work and send it to me.

Tuesday, April 28

Listen to Bonkers Likes to Bark again. Draw and color a picture of a dog doing something that dogs do (for example: chewing a bone, playing fetch, sleeping). Under the picture write a sentence describing what the dog likes to do. Don’t forget to begin your sentence with a capital letter and end it with punctuation. Take a picture of your work and send it to me.

Wednesday, April 29

Listen to Bonkers Likes to Bark. Bonkers and bark both begin with the letter Bb. Tell a family member two other words that begin with the letter Bb. Then draw and color a picture of two things that begin with the letter Bb and write the words. Take a picture of your work and send it to me.

Today is catch up day. You can catch up with any work you have not completed for this week. Please send me a picture of yourself and say hi!

Friday, May 1

Let’s do something fun today!!

Tell a family member if you like to ride on rollercoasters.

Today you will watch a short video showing a ride on the Cyclone rollercoaster in Coney Island. You can see the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9evIG1MugW0

After you watch the video, draw a picture of you riding the Cyclone and write about how you would feel riding the Cyclone. Have fun!!

FIRST GRADE

This week we are going to read a funny book titled Zots Goes to School. Zots and Abby are best friends. Zots is from outer space and he wants to go to school with Abby. Abby has to teach him what he needs to know to behave in school.
