Sustainability is important to the PS 62 community because it means that we are able to achieve a balance with what we consume and at a minimum not have a negative impact on the environment. That is why it is so important for students to start learning about sustainable goals and strategies as part of their curriculum from a young age and how little gestures can have big impacts on the environment. Being a part of the city's first net zero school allows students and staff to take part in daily activities and learn that positive impacts can be achieved without any additional effort. Immersing our students in sustainability from such a young age encourages them to become good stewards of the environment.
