STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY
P.S. 58’s philosophy is based on the idea that schools were created to meet the academic and social needs of the students. With this in mind, our school is always centered on the student’s needs. Therefore, everything we do at P.S. 58 will be for the best interest of each and every child.
In addition, it is the intent of the faculty to lead students toward being disciplined, productive, informed, and fulfilled individuals. We believe every child can strive for excellence and achieve it. To accomplish these goals, mutual respect and understanding must be present in the learning process on the part of all participants – the faculty, students, parents, and the community. School must be a place where teachers can teach and students can learn.
