6th Grade Science

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! Expect staff who hold themselves to the same high standards as the students we teach. We are here to build positive relationships among parents and students, and instill a high level of rigor included in instructional practices.

Fillmore Academy Science department will apply project-based learning (PBL) for most units this year. Students will learn by actively engaging in real-world and meaningful projects. They will need to bring their own charged device (preferably a computer or tablet) that can connect to the internet. Be prepared for hands-on learning, rigor, and excitement this year! Students will learn to harness the power of technology to enhance learning and improve educational outcomes. As well as understand how engineering principles can broaden understanding of scientific principles of how energy and matter interact to make life possible.
