Tips for Parents for Online Learning
Your child should have a workspace with room for, not only their computer but also space for anything else they might need during a typical school day, such as pens, pencils, notepads, calculator, etc.
Develop a daily work schedule. Your child should set a start time, daily, and their day should include times for short breaks and physical activity and/or exercise.
Stay involved in your child’s schoolwork. Take the time to learn about your child’s online learning platform and become comfortable navigating and reviewing assignments, notes, etc
Take an active role in helping your children process their learning and check in with your them regularly to help them manage stress.
Monitor how much time your children are spending online and set rules around their social media interactions.
Make sure you know how to contact teachers for learning support and who to contact for technical support.
