Cadets serving in leadership positions in our unit are part of the Cadre. This word holds military connotations, suggesting not a mere staff but a faculty of honor charged with indoctrinating newcomers. Its roots go back to old European armies, where officers would stand-up a unit before its mass of inexperienced troops arrived. Cadet structure is as follows:
