“A school board may authorize the use of a school bus:
To transport pupils for the purpose of participating in or attending extracurricular activities;
To transport trustees and administrative officers employed by the school division or school district while carrying out their regular duties;
To transport school division employees to attend professional development sessions; and,
As may be required for the purpose of repairing or servicing it.” (M.R. 465/88-11)

The use of private vehicles by Trustees and Division personnel may be claimed for reimbursement at rates set by the Board. These amounts will be paid to the claimant by the Secretary Treasurer’s department whenever the Board has previously authorized such payments or when travel is part of that person’s regular duties with the Division. The claim must be made on the proper claim form. (See Exhibit DLD-E1)
