DS-P0 - Apprenticeship Graduation Award
Section D: Fiscal Management
The Prairie Spirit School Division will make an annual award of $500 to a student who is pursuing a career in a trade or enrolling in an apprenticeship program.
The recipient will be selected by the Prairie Spirit High School Apprenticeship Awards Committee using the following criteria:
Has completed the course requirements for graduation;
Has shown interest, initiative and work ethic in their chosen trade;
Has demonstrated the employability skills and experience to succeed in a career in the Designated Trades;
Is socially responsible;
Is continuing their education in one of the Designated Trades in Manitoba; and,
Has been approved for Apprenticeship Training with the Apprenticeship Branch of the Manitoba Government; or,
Has enrolled in a recognized technical training institution.
The award will be presented annually at a school’s graduation ceremony by a representative of the Prairie Spirit School Division.
