DO-P1 - Annual Allocations and Grants for Community and School Groups 

1. Support for Festivals

The Board of Trustees encourages opportunities for the Division’s students to participate and perform in festivals organized around arts and culture.  Accordingly, the following supports will be made available.

Organization Grant

A $750 grant will be allocated annually to each of the 4 regions listed below, provided a festival is held in that region during the school year, to be used at their discretion: 

• Pembina Valley

• Mountain 

• Tiger Hills 

• Rock Lake

Facilities and Equipment

School gymnasiums and facilities will be made available where required and feasible, as well as equipment to assist in the preparation and printing of syllabi and other documents. 

Group Entries

The Division shall pay festival fees charged to students competing as groups originating within the schools of the Division.

2. Support for Advisory Councils for School Leadership 

Advisory Councils for School Leadership, or other recognized parent group, shall be allocated funds annually, based on the following formula:

• $50.00 per school, plus $1.00 per student
