The Prairie Spirit School Division operates as a dual system organization. The Superintendent’s department is primarily responsible for the instructional functions of the Division. The Secretary Treasurer’s department is responsible for fiscal management and support services. The two departments form one administrative team. They share in the administration of the Division, as delineated in the Organization Chart (Exhibit CB-E1).
Under the leadership of the Senior Administration, the Academic Administrators, the Student Services Administrator, Student Support Services Administrator, and the IT Director constitute an Administrative Council. Other staff may be included as appropriate.
Different members of the Administrative Council meet for the purposes of:
Planning and coordinating the implementation of Manitoba Education programs and requirements;
Sharing of information and communication, through Senior Administration, with the Board;
Discussion of matters and issues of mutual interest; and,
Discussion of topics concerning improvement of learning benefits for students.
