This current school year (2025-2026) is my seventh year teaching, as well as my seventh year here at Pinelands! I graduated from Rowan University in 2019 with my B.A. in Mathematics, B.A. in Secondary Education and an Endorsement in Teaching Students with Disabilities. My first three years here I taught math, and then I switched to teaching Physics when I received my M.S. in Teaching ad Learning Physics. Here at Pinelands, I assist with the Student Ambassador Program, am a member of the Pathways to Postseconday Success team, and am a member of the ScIP committee.
I recently graduated Ocean County College's American Sign Language Interpreter Training Program. Through this program I am learning the Language as well as how to interpret English to ASL for people of the Deaf community or anyone else who is otherwise nonverbal. Sometimes I incorporate signs into my classes!
I grew up in a very large family! I have an older brother, two younger brothers who are twins, and a younger sister. I also have a younger cousin who grew up in my family like another brother. In my family, we have two cats, two dogs, and twelve chickens! In my house, though, it is just my fiancé and I, our two cats, our dog and our snake. I love to spend time with my family. My mom and I enjoy cooking together, I love fishing or watching NASCAR with my dad, my brothers and I play video games together, and my sister loves to go on trips with me, even if it's just to Taco Bell! We are all very close, and if you're one of my students, you'll hear about my family often!
In my free time, I have a few different hobbies! I love to cook and bake; I enjoy making goodies for any holiday! You will never find me without a book of some kind; I love to read and I always read when I can. When I'm not cooking or reading, I enjoy playing video games, watching my favorite shows (Teen Wolf, anyone?), skateboarding and hanging out with my friends and family. I also try to practice my Sign Language skills whenever I can!
