When you turn on the panel, you'll see two accounts: OWNER and GUEST. Use the GUEST account.
To connect/project a laptop, phone, any wireless device
Locate and tap the Screen sharing option on the home screen
A new session will launch that displays a url: displaynote.com/join and a session code. You can open a browser on your mobile device and go to that url and enter the code. You can also have the DisplayNote app installed on your mobile device for easy access (available on Google Pay and Apple App Store).
NOTE: When you go to the displaynote.com/join webpage to join, make sure you do NOT click "Connect as a Teacher" to sign in with your Google account.
Use the physical buttons located on the front right of the panel. Select the button on the right (hamburger menu/3 lines). This will bring up your quick settings. You will see Freeze. Select Freeze and a snowflake icon will appear upper right screen. This means that the screen is frozen. To unfreeze, tap the snowflake so it disappears, and your screen will release.
If you accidentally delete a page from the whiteboard (using navigation):
The whiteboard will save a picture of the deleted page in the File Commander.
To access it from the File Commander, tap Internal Storage, then Pictures, Screenshots, Image, and scroll down to the whiteboard files. You won't be able to edit this screenshot anymore, but you can insert it into the whiteboard as an image, and continue working around it (or writing on it as an image).
Ex: Surface/Bluetooth tablet and pen
There are a couple of options for this depending on what you're wanting to do. Teachers can connect Bluetooth capable things directly to the OPS the same way as on a normal computer by accessing the Bluetooth settings in the task bar.
Doing this, you would be able to use your Bluetooth tablet or Surface the same way you're used to with your device.
You can also Bluetooth connect to the panel directly, if that option is visible. If it is, and you choose to go this route, you should be able to use your tablet/pen to write on the whiteboard. be sure to test this out to confirm that it works with your device.
