We are so excited you want to be a part of Newsies! There are a few steps you need to do before you can begin you audition.

After you've done all those steps, your audition can commence! Break a leg and happy auditioning!
Step 1: Basic Information
Before you commit to something, you need to know some basic information and give some basic information. Linked below are three very important things: the audition form and the rehearsal schedule.
Look over the schedule to gauge your availability
note: NO CONFLICTS are allowed for performance and tech
Rehearsal schedule is tentative and subject to change.
Fill out the virtual audition form
These steps HAVE to happen before all else. Missing especially the form will make your audition time null and void.
Step 2: Sign Up for a Time!
Now you need to find a time to audition! Below are TWO (2!) links. One is for your INDIVIDUAL audition (where you will do your song and monologue) the other is for the DANCE audition (where you will demonstrate the provided dance in a small group)
Schedule your 5 minute individual audition (for song and monologue)
THEN schedule your dance audition. (dance audition is required)
note: You cannot do you individual audition and dance audition during the same time frame.
If you are unable to make dance auditions, contact Ms. T as soon as possible
Step 3: Learn Your Materials
Now you've reviewed the information, signed up for a time, and it's time at last to choose and learn your audition materials! For this audition, materials are provided for you. You will need to learn the following
One (1) song excerpt
One (1) monologue
The provided dance
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
Memorization of song and monologue are not required.
You may choose any song and monologue you wish.
You MUST learn the dance prior to auditions.
You may print out the song and monologue to reference or reference it on an electronic device. Printed copies will NOT be made available.

Callbacks
Callbacks will take place from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, December 12th in the Black Box. An email will go out on Wednesday saying who needs to be seen for callbacks. Just because you don't get a callback doesn't mean you aren't cast. At present, we are only planning to call back 3 - 5 characters.
Materials for callbacks will be provided in that email so you can prepare prior to callbacks.
