Meet the Team
Moriah Emrick
My name is Moriah, and this is my second year in Talon Tech. I am a senior at PHS, and I’ve been attending PISD for two years. I work on programs like Visix and Flipgrid. I am not involved in anything outside of school so instead, I spend my time taking care of my sister and helping out the family. When I have free time, I'm usually on my phone or my computer.
Brooks Feldker
Hey there, I’m Brooks, a senior at PHS. I started attending PISD in 8th grade. I’m involved in the UIL Computer Science team, and I’m taking a variety of electives, including Independent Studies Programming Languages and Digital Art & Animation. Last year, I worked on the school’s badge rewards program, and I hope to continue its growth this upcoming year. Outside of school, I like reading, gaming, drawing, occasionally writing, and eating a good burger! I look forward to the upcoming year of Talon Tech.
Alec Shreve
Hi, my name is Alec and I am a senior and a first year Talon Tech member. I have lived in Prosper for 10 years. My sister is attending Texas A&M, where I also plan to attend for a degree in Computer Science. I am the trombone captain in the Mighty Eagle Band and love playing and listening to music. In my spare time, I usually play video games or go rock climbing. I have a (really cute) puppy named Bruno Sammartino, who is one quarter Australian Shepherd and three quarters poodle. I can’t wait to help people and see how this program helps me grow this year!
Josh Smith
Hi! My name is Joshua Smith and I am a junior here at PHS. I’ve been in Prosper since 5th grade, and I’ve enjoyed my time here. I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 531 in McKinney, and Boy Scouts is my biggest hobby/extracurricular. I am an active member of The Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society. Another one of my interests is Computer Science. I have the most experience in Java, and I am learning C++ and more this year. This is my first year in Talon Tech, and I am excited to learn everything. I look forward to a great year.
Shakira Vogt
Hello, my name is Shakira Vogt, a Senior at PHS, and I have been attending PISD since 7th grade. I originally moved here from Germany, and have lived in Texas ever since. I am involved in the PHS Sports Medicine Program, and this is my third year in that program. I am really excited to see where it goes. This is also my second year in Talon Tech, and I am very excited to see what this year brings. After school, I like to photograph my brothers soccer team, I work, I hang out with my family and friends, or I go to my brothers soccer games. During my free time I like to hang out with friends and play around with my camera.

Mr. Watkins
This is my fourth year at Prosper High School as the Instructional Technology Specialist. I am also the teacher mentor for Talon Tech Student Group, a group of students that help with the technology integration at the high school. I previously taught at Hubbard Middle School in Tyler, TX. I started in the social studies department then moved to STEM, Exploring Careers and Professional Communication. I also coached girl's athletics for two years.
I am currently a Google Certified Trainer and a Microsoft Innovative Educator. My passion is finding new ways to incorporate technology into the everyday learning of students. I have finished my Master's Degree from the University of North Texas in Learning Technologies.
