2019-20 7th Grade Immunizations Needed

Dear parents of 6th grade students,

As spring arrives, we already start thinking ahead to next school year! Incoming 7th graders will have vaccination requirements due prior to the start of the new school year. You are able to view your child’s current vaccination records on Skyward under the Health Info tab. This information can only be viewed from a desktop computer. There are 2 vaccines that are particular to incoming 7th graders, and all 7th grade students must provide proof of receiving the following:

one dose of Tdap given within the last 5 years

one dose of meningococcal vaccine on or after their 11th

Many students already have received both of these vaccines. In order for your student to pick up their schedule on schedule pick up night on August 8th, your child must have their vaccination record current, including these 2 vaccines.

You are welcomed and encouraged to obtain these immunizations starting now and provide the proof prior to the end of this school year. If you choose to wait until summer, you are more than welcomed to email me the proof of vaccinations over the summer. By doing so, we can help your student have a great transition to 7th grade, and prevent any delays in getting their schedules!

2019-20 Course Selection

Students have all completed course selection for the upcoming school year. At this time, if a student would like to request a different class for next year, they must complete the "Course Change Request" Form found on all middle school campus websites. Elective change requests will not be honored after May 24th.

Rogers Kindness Challenge

For the month of May, Student Council and the counseling team are hosting a kindness challenge. Throughout the month, students can be recognized by their peers and Rogers staff for acts of kindness seen at the school. #CaughtBeingKind @Rogers

Kroger Community Rewards

To use the Kroger Community Rewards Program

  • Visit https://www.kroger.com
  • Log into your Kroger account
  • Select Savings & Rewards
  • Select Kroger Community Rewards
  • Search for Rogers Middle School PTO either by name or GA135 and then click Enroll.
  • New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and rewards card.
  • Customers must have a registered Kroger rewards card account to link to your organization.
  • If a member does not yet have a Kroger rewards card, please let them know they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger.
