PK- 2nd Grade
The 2x2 reading list consists of 20 recommended picture books chosen by Texas librarians.
Read 15 of the 20 2x2 Books, fill out the 2x2 form, and return it to the library.
Texas Bluebonnet Reading List 2026-2027
Grades 3rd-5th
Each year, 20 books are chosen as the "Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List" by the TBA selection committee made up of librarians. If students read a minimum of five books from the current master list (or have the books read aloud to them), they have the opportunity to vote for their favorite title during the month of January. The author of the book receiving the most votes statewide is declared the winner of the Texas Bluebonnet Award.
Tejas Star Reading List
2026-2027
Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Each year, 20 books are chosen for the Tejas Star list. The Tejas Star Reading list encourages children ages 5-12 to explore Spanish, bilingual, and multicultural books.
