PLTW Aerospace Engineering
This is my fourth year at Prosper High School and my sixth year at the absolute best school district in the Great State of Texas! I am thrilled to be the instructor for Architectural Design I, II, & Practicum along with the PLTW course, Honors Aerospace Engineering!
I was born and raised in South Dakota and earned an Associates of Science degree in Architectural Drafting and Civil Engineering from Lake Area Technical Institute. I moved to Texas in 2005 and eventually went back to school and earned my Bachelor of Science in Math/Science Education from Texas A&M University in 2010, Whoop!! I also just recently finished my Master's Degree in Education Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Texas at Arlington. Throughout my teaching career, I have previously taught Middle School Science, STEAM, Biomedical Technology, Intro to Engineering, Engineering Design & Development, and Computer Maintenance. I have also spent some summers in Houston working for the Texas High School Aerospace Scholars program at NASA - Johnson Space Center.
I live in McKinney with my beautiful wife and three children. Our oldest daughter is a 6th grader at Rogers Middle School, middle daughter is 3 (threenager), and our son is 18 months old.

This is my 3rd year at Rock Hill High School and my 8th year in the Prosper school district. I spent the first five years at Prosper High School where I introduced the Architecture classes that we now have four full years of at the high school level. I currently teach Architecture 1, 2, and 3, as well as Intro to Engineering and Honors Aerospace Engineering. I was also a contributor to writing curriculum for the new Construction Technology class that will be offered in 2023 at Walnut Grove High School. I have previously taught Business Management 1 and 2, Graphic Design, Yearbook, and Video Design. I am also the "Voice of Rock Hill" as I have announced volleyball, boys and girls basketball, football, and baseball games for The Rock.
I just finished my 18th year with the US Air Force, four years active duty and fourteen years in the National Guard. I lead a disaster response team that is also attached to FEMA, as well as the state of Texas and the USAF. I worked fifteen years in the construction industry as a project manager in both residential and commercial construction. My lovely wife is the Fashion Design teacher here at Rock Hill and together we are raising four kiddos still in Prosper ISD. My oldest is a recent graduate and is an assistant with the color guard at two different schools.
