A login is needed to access either the FAFSA or CADAA so your identity can to be verified by the federal or state government. This might sound scary, but it is only so that the important information you report on your FAFSA or CADAA is connected specifically to you. Once you create your ID or Login, you use that information to apply for financial aid each year you are in college.

Log into your California Colleges account, then click on the green button that says" My Financial Aid Plan." From there you'll complete the first part, "Complete Prep Work for your FAFSA or CADAA." The sections there will help you both determine which financial aid application you'll complete--you only complete one!--and then lead you to create either a FSA ID (for FAFSA) or User ID (for CADAA).
