STANDARDIZED TESTS

Standardized tests are very good at doing one thing, predicting how well you will perform on your next standardized test. In other words, how you did on your PSAT is a good indicator of how you will likely do on your SAT. While some schools have gone “test optional,” standardized testing is an important factor in admission decisions, especially at most of the “highly selective” colleges and universities. Therefore, we want you to understand testing requirements and keep them in perspective.

PLEASE NOTE the SAT Subject test is required at only highly selective schools. Students applying to those schools should take two or three SAT Subject Tests in June.
